Green Room ("My Stage Manager," "the App," "we," "us," or "our") is a mobile application designed to help theater professionals manage productions, coordinate cast and crew, schedule events, and communicate with team members. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our App.
By creating an account or using Green Room, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Account Information: Name, email address, password, and selected role (e.g., director, actor, crew, stage manager, choreographer, music director).
- Profile Information: Display name, avatar/emoji selection, and account type.
- Production Information: Production titles, descriptions, venue names, dates, director names, and cast/character assignments.
- Communications: Messages, announcements, and other content you send through the App's chat and announcement features.
- Media: Photos and images you upload to production galleries or share in chat conversations.
- Event Information: Event titles, dates, times, locations, and descriptions that you create or manage.
- Pinterest Links: URLs and metadata from Pinterest pins you add to production inspiration boards.
- Organization Information: Organization name, logo, and membership details (for organization-based accounts).
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, and whether you are using a physical device or simulator (used solely for push notification delivery).
- Push Notification Tokens: Expo push notification tokens, used to deliver notifications to your device. These tokens are stored on our servers and deleted when you sign out.
- Usage Data: Timestamps associated with account creation, messages, events, and other actions within the App.
2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect precise geolocation data.
- We do not collect financial or payment information through the App.
- We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics SDKs.
- We do not access your device contacts, microphone, or camera beyond the image picker functionality you initiate.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide the Service: Create and manage your account, display your profile to team members, organize productions, and facilitate communication.
- Enable Communication: Deliver messages, announcements, and push notifications related to your productions and teams.
- Schedule and Coordinate: Display events, rehearsals, performances, and other calendar items to relevant production members.
- Manage Organizations: Support organization-based accounts with membership management, director seat allocation, and subscription status tracking.
- Process Invitations: Match pending email invitations to new accounts during signup so invited members are automatically added to their productions.
- Maintain and Improve the App: Monitor for errors, debug issues, and improve overall performance and reliability.
4. How We Share Your Information
4.1 With Other Users
- Your name, avatar, and role are visible to other members of productions you belong to.
- Messages and announcements you post are visible to members of the relevant chat group or production.
- Images you upload to production galleries or chat are visible to other production or chat members.
- Event details you create are visible to members of the associated production.
4.2 With Service Providers
- Supabase: We use Supabase as our backend platform for authentication, database storage, and file storage. Your data is stored on Supabase's infrastructure. Supabase's privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policy, available at supabase.com/privacy.
- Expo / EAS: We use Expo's push notification service to deliver notifications to your device. Push tokens are transmitted to Expo's servers for notification delivery. Expo's privacy policy is available at expo.dev/privacy.
4.3 We Do NOT
- Sell your personal information to third parties.
- Share your data with advertisers.
- Use your content to train machine learning models.
- Share your information with any parties beyond what is described in this policy.
5. Data Storage and Security
- All data is stored on Supabase's cloud infrastructure with Row Level Security (RLS) enabled on all database tables, ensuring users can only access data they are authorized to view.
- Passwords are managed through Supabase Auth and are never stored in plaintext.
- Authentication sessions are persisted securely on your device using encrypted local storage.
- Uploaded images are stored in private storage buckets with signed URLs that expire after one year.
- All communication between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.
6. Data Retention
- Account Data: Your profile and account data are retained as long as your account is active.
- Messages and Content: Chat messages, announcements, images, and other content are retained as long as the associated production or chat group exists.
- Push Tokens: Push notification tokens are removed from our servers when you sign out of the App.
- Pending Invitations: Email-based invitations are deleted once the invited user signs up and is added to the relevant production.
- Account Deletion: You can delete your account directly from the app by going to Profile > Danger Zone > Delete Account. You may also contact us at the email address below. Upon account deletion, your profile, messages, uploaded media, and all associated data will be permanently removed.
7. Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to:
- Access your personal information through your profile and the App's interface.
- Update your profile information (name, avatar, role) at any time through the App.
- Disable Notifications: You can disable push notifications through your device settings at any time.
- Delete Your Account: You can delete your account directly in the app from Profile > Danger Zone > Delete Account, or by contacting us. This will permanently remove your profile, content, and all associated data.
- Decline Invitations: You are not required to accept invitations or create an account.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA, including the right to data portability, the right to restrict processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. 8. Children's Privacy
Green Room is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.
9. Third-Party Links
The App may contain links to third-party services, such as Pinterest pins added to inspiration boards. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before interacting with them.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by other means prior to the change becoming effective. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
